The more we trust our body; the easier it is to allow the unknown. We make much effort to control and predict our reality, when we actually never know what and how things will unfold. If we can allow ourselves to experience life with all its mystery and agree not to control and know all the answers, we can learn, develop and experience life with more vitality, curiosity and reach more personal freedom.
Life is mysterious and unknown. If we can agree to experience the mystery of life, we may reach more personal freedom. When we allow mystery in our life and agree not to understand everything, we can experience things in totally new ways, ways we never agreed to in the past. We may perceive space and time differently, things we think of, suddenly happen, and things we haven't noticed in the past are suddenly seen with astounding clarity. If we can agree that there is so much more to existence than what we perceive, we will allow ourselves to be more curious, more fascinated, more intrigued, engaged in our surroundings and thus not limiting ourselves only to the familiar.
Our conclusions and beliefs interrupt our ability to experience the unknown, unpredictable and the mysterious. We are not prisoners of our past, but students of the present. We have the ability to use our knowledge and conclusions in any given situation, but as life is constantly changing around us, old conclusions, sometimes, can be irrelevant. We can find ourselves in the same situation over and over again deepening our belief that 'this is how life was, is and always will be', reacting according to our beliefs rather than to what is really there at each moment. If we have strong ideas and beliefs, it is harder to realize when something unexplained or different occurs.
Many of us fear the unknown and make a lot of effort to control our reality. Life is full of mystery. There is more to life that we don’t know then we do. Not knowing what will happen is a scary prospect for many people. When we don't accept the unknown, we invest a lot of our energy and attention in creating a false sense of control. We attempt to control our reality by creating a belief system, routines and reacting automatically to our surroundings. We do these things not by choice or awareness, but by habit. We never actually know how our surroundings will react, what the outcome of situations will be and what will happen to people at any given moment.
Many people waste much effort and attention on trying to control their reality thus restricting their true ability to perceive and experience life. If we are able to consciously pay attention to the things that happen around us without slipping into automatic reactions and beliefs, we allow ourselves to se
e reality as it really is. If we don't waste precious energy and attention on old beliefs and go through the same prefixed scenarios in our head we free our body and attention to deal with new experiences and allow new outcomes, knowing that no matter what happens, our body can respond and not lose its power.
In order to experience life with all its mystery, we must trust our body and allow the fear of the unknown to flow freely. When we can trust our body we can allow ourselves to experience the flow of fear. Fear can flow freely when we don't try to push it away, when our body can experience the fear as a physical experience without reacting to it in an automatic way. The unknown can be intriguing and fascinating for some, but scary for others. When we are physical, we can trust ourselves to face new things, unknown outcomes and unexplained events with all our power and attention.
